SEO pricing & billing

7 questions
We're an affordable SEO company built for small businesses, not enterprise clients. We don't carry the overhead other agencies do — no six-person sales team, no Manhattan office, no "account managers" whose job is to upsell you on things you don't need. Lean operation, automated reporting, senior operators doing senior work. The SEO services we deliver match any $3,000/mo agency. We just didn't build the restaurant to charge you for the tablecloth.
No. What you see on the pricing page is what you pay. Month one includes the full onboarding — kickoff call, keyword map, technical audit, strategy roadmap — that most agencies charge $1,500–$3,000 for as a separate line item.
Monthly, on the anniversary of your start date. We charge via Stripe (credit card or ACH). Invoices are always available in your dashboard. No surprise charges, ever — if we need to scope something extra, you see the quote and approve it before we start work.
Anytime, in either direction. Upgrades take effect the next billing cycle (or immediately, prorated, if you want). Downgrades follow the same rules. We'd rather have you on the right plan than the expensive one.
No. Our pricing is already built to be the lowest we can sustainably offer. Pushing you into a 12-month prepay would be the exact "lock-in" model we're trying to avoid. If you want to pay a year at once to simplify accounting, we'll accept it — but you won't get a discount, and you can still cancel anytime with the remainder refunded.
No. Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, SurferSEO — all the professional tools are included in your plan. Most agencies bill a "software fee" line item for these; we don't. You'll also get access to our in-house dashboard at no extra cost.
First 14 days are a money-back trial — if you decide it's not for you, email us and we'll refund the full month's payment, no questions asked. After day 14, we don't refund partial months, but you can cancel anytime with 14 days' notice and keep everything we've produced.

SEO process & timeline

Long-tail keywords (lower-competition, specific queries) typically start moving in 30–60 days. Competitive money keywords (your main service + city) take 3–6 months to crack page one in most markets. We promise page-one rankings for your agreed target keyword set within 90 days — or we work for free until you get there.
15 minutes, Zoom or phone — your pick. You'll talk to a senior strategist (usually Nico), who'll pull up your site live, check where you rank for your primary keywords, run a quick competitor analysis, and walk you through what's working and what isn't. If we can help, we'll recommend a plan. If we can't, we'll tell you that honestly and often point you to a better-suited channel. No pitch deck, no pressure, no required next step.
The senior strategist who pitches you is the same person running your account day-to-day. No bait-and-switch to a junior after the sale — that's literally why we built this. Content production and link outreach are handled by specialists under your strategist's direction, with everything reviewed before it goes live.
Less than you'd think. About 60 minutes for the kickoff call, then 30–60 minutes every 2 weeks (Growth) or every month (Local) for strategy calls. You'll review and approve blog posts before they publish (takes ~10 min each). Everything else happens in the background with full transparency in your dashboard.
Always. Every blog post, every on-page change, every new landing page — you see it in a staging environment or Google Doc before it goes live. If you don't respond within 5 business days we assume approval (we move fast), but you can always roll back anything.
Your existing site works fine 95% of the time. WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, custom — we've optimized all of them. The rare cases where we recommend migration are when a site is built on a platform with serious SEO limitations (some old page builders) or has so many redirect/architecture issues that starting fresh is cheaper. We'll tell you honestly in the audit.

SEO results & guarantees

We agree on your target keyword set during kickoff — typically 3–5 primary commercial keywords. If those keywords haven't moved up meaningfully in Google's SERP within 90 days of work starting, we keep executing at no cost until they do. In writing, every engagement. The only conditions: your site can't be under a manual Google penalty, and you have to let us actually ship the work we plan (not veto every change). Our current hit rate is 94%. The 6% that miss? We kept working for free until they caught up.
We build for Google's long-term direction, not algorithm loopholes. That means our clients have historically come through core updates either flat or up. When a major update rolls out, you get a written analysis within 48 hours explaining what changed, how you were affected, and what (if anything) we're adjusting. No extra charge.
Budget matters, but it's rarely the deciding factor at the small-business level. We win against bigger competitors every day by being smarter about keyword selection (targeting high-intent long-tail instead of just hyper-competitive head terms), faster about technical execution, and more consistent about content. If your audit shows your market is genuinely unwinnable at our plan sizes, we'll tell you and recommend either custom scope or a different channel.
Three ways: (1) your live dashboard, updated roughly every 4 hours with current rankings, traffic, and work log; (2) a monthly plain-English report covering what ranked, what traffic came in, and what revenue we can attribute; (3) your strategy calls (bi-weekly or monthly depending on plan), where we walk through the report and plan the next cycle.
Rankings fluctuate — that's normal. A 1–3 position dip on a specific keyword for a few days is noise, not a problem. If something meaningful drops (a target keyword falls 10+ spots, or overall traffic drops sustainably), you get an email from your strategist within 24 hours with the diagnosis and a recovery plan. This is included — no extra charge, no "crisis fee."

Contracts & cancellation

4 questions
No. All plans are month-to-month. Cancel with 14 days' notice for any reason. We believe you should stay because the work compounds, not because the paperwork traps you. This is non-negotiable — no "annual plan discount," no "we need 6 months to see results so sign here."
Send an email to your strategist or our support address with 14 days' notice. That's it. No exit interview, no "retention team" call, no begging. We'll complete the current cycle's deliverables, hand over all assets, and part ways.
Everything. All blog posts, all on-page changes, all technical fixes, all backlinks, all reports, full access to your dashboard archive. Everything we produced lives on your site, in your GitHub, or in your Google Drive — owned by you, forever. SEO work compounds even after we stop.
Yes, up to 60 days per rolling 12-month period. Common reasons: seasonal businesses (roofers in winter, tax preparers post-April), cash flow crunches, or a founder handling a big internal project. Pause freezes work and billing; resume whenever you're ready.

Industries & fit

5 questions
Probably. We've worked with law firms, dentists, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electricians, med spas, chiropractors, Shopify stores, B2B SaaS, accounting firms, real estate brokers, and more. See the results page for industry breakdowns. If we're not a fit, we'll tell you in the audit — including pointing you to a better-suited agency if we know one.
Casinos and gambling, crypto/web3, payday lending, adult content, MLMs, anything we can't rank ethically under Google's guidelines, and anything we personally wouldn't recommend to a friend. We also don't take direct competitors of current clients within the same local market — so if someone else in your city is already with us, we'll say so and decline.
Yes, but with honest expectations. New sites take longer to rank because Google hasn't established trust with your domain yet. Expect 4–9 months for competitive keywords on a brand new domain, vs 3–6 for an established site. We'll forecast this realistically in your audit.
US, Canada, UK, Australia, and Ireland primarily. We can handle English + Spanish bilingual sites on Scale plan. For fully multi-language setups beyond that, we're not the best fit — we'll refer you to a specialist.
You're past our standard Scale plan. We do have an enterprise/custom tier for multi-location chains and larger e-commerce — still flat-rate, still no surprise fees, just built for scope. Send us your details and we'll put together a custom quote within 48 hours.

SEO technical & tools

5 questions
Editor-level access to your CMS (WordPress, Shopify, etc.), Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Business Profile. We never need admin or billing access. All access is given via proper user accounts under your ownership — if we part ways, you revoke our access and own everything.
No. Our blog posts are human-written by US-based writers with industry experience, edited by our team, and reviewed by you before publish. We may use AI internally for research and drafting aids, but never for the final published content. Google is getting better every month at detecting mass-produced AI content, and we're not willing to risk your rankings on a shortcut.
Ahrefs and SEMrush for keyword + backlink data, Google Search Console and GA4 for performance truth, Screaming Frog for technical crawling, PageSpeed Insights for Core Web Vitals, SurferSEO for content optimization, plus our in-house dashboard (Unclaimed OS) that aggregates everything for you. All included in your plan — no separate "software fees."
Editorial outreach only. Real sites with real audiences and real editorial processes — minimum DR 30, relevant to your niche, permanent placements. No PBNs (private blog networks), no link packages, no "1,000 backlinks for $99" garbage. Every link is vetted by your strategist before it goes live. This is the slower, more expensive way, but it's the only way that survives Google updates long-term.
Yes, as a $1,499 one-time add-on. Migrations are where SEO value most commonly evaporates (redirects done wrong, canonicals missed, structure changed recklessly). We handle the pre-migration audit, redirect map, post-migration crawl, and rank-retention monitoring so your new site doesn't tank in search the week it launches.
